Where plans meet the operating reality

Experience matters when the stakes are high.

Meridian Privé takes on management work that cannot be left without someone leading it.

Desislava Dimitrova leads each mandate herself. She works with the client's team and brings in specialist expertise where the assignment requires it. The aim is to turn decisions into action while the business keeps running.

Does this sound familiar?

When a business reaches a turning point.

01

A key leader has left.

Decisions, people and customer commitments cannot wait for a permanent appointment.

02

Change has been agreed, but has stalled.

Someone needs to set priorities and carry the work through day-to-day operations.

03

You have acquired a business.

After the deal, you need to understand the organisation, establish reporting and put decisions into effect.

04

You are preparing to sell.

The company needs to operate clearly and become less dependent on your daily involvement.

05

You manage from abroad.

You own a business in Bulgaria and need management visibility and execution on the ground.

06

The team is not ready for the next stage.

Growth or transition calls for a new structure, key hires and clearer responsibilities.

What I take on

From decision to action.

01 / Leadership

Interim Management

When a leadership role cannot remain vacant.

I take on a defined management role for an agreed period: following a departure, during a leadership transition or at a stage the current team cannot readily manage alone. I establish priorities, lead the work within the mandate and report to the owner. Where needed, I help build the team and prepare a handover to a permanent leader.

02 / Execution

Change & Transition

When the decision has been made, but the work still needs to happen.

I lead the operational work of stabilisation, reorganisation or a post-acquisition transition. We establish priorities and responsibilities, track progress and work with the people who will implement the change. For an owner preparing to sell, a mandate can include organising management information and operations and coordinating with the relevant specialists.

03 / On the ground

Owner Representation

When your business is in Bulgaria and you cannot always be here.

I work with the local team and counterparties on defined tasks, follow through on agreed decisions and give the owner a clear view of progress and issues. The role may support a specific transition or an agreed period of operations. Decision-making authority and any formal representation are set out for each mandate.

How a mandate works

Clarity at the outset. Action at every stage.

Every engagement is shaped around the business, the task, the timeframe and the people required. At the outset, we assess what specialist expertise the work calls for and how to bring it in.

  1. ConversationWe discuss the situation, urgency and intended outcome.
  2. AssessmentI establish the scope, key people and a realistic timeframe.
  3. MandateWe agree the role, authority, reporting and terms.
  4. ExecutionI lead the work with the team and relevant specialists.
  5. HandoverWe transfer responsibility or define the next stage.

Principal

Desislava Dimitrova

My experience spans the management of companies and teams, work with international owners, business development and execution through organisational change. I have worked across commerce, real estate and healthcare.

Meridian Privé puts that experience to work in defined management mandates — where an owner needs someone who can step into the business and move the work forward.

“Decisions gain value when someone can carry them through.”

Frequently asked questions

Questions before we begin.

What is interim management?

It is the temporary assumption of a management role for a defined task or period. Scope, authority and reporting are agreed in advance.

When is an interim manager the right choice?

When the business needs leadership now but a permanent appointment takes time, or when the task has a defined end and does not require a permanent role.

Can you support us after an acquisition?

Yes, with the operational transition: working with the local team, setting priorities, establishing reporting and implementing decisions within the agreed mandate.

Can you help prepare a business for sale?

I can lead management and operational preparation alongside the owner's chosen legal, financial and M&A specialists. I do not provide legal services or business valuations.

Do you work with owners based outside Bulgaria?

Yes. The mandate defines the work undertaken in Bulgaria, which decisions stay with the owner and how progress is reported.

How do you assess a sector you have not worked in?

I assess the management task, timeframe and specialist knowledge it requires. Where needed, suitable experts join the work under the mandate.
